Who's allowed to drive?

Drivers must be 18 or older with photo ID — 16 and 17 year olds can drive with a legal guardian riding the same ski. Anyone born after January 1, 1988 also needs Florida's boater education card, a 20-minute online course our check-in desk helps riders finish every day. Passengers just need the vest we hand them.

Can two of us share a ski?

Yes — every ski seats one or two. The two-seater costs less than a pair of singles, and you can swap drivers mid-session as long as whoever drives meets the driver rules.

Do I need experience?

None. The controls take two minutes: thumb throttle, lean to steer. The guide covers the one real rule — a ski only steers under power — and stays with the group the whole hour.

Rates are member-priced and live — the current numbers are always on the jet ski page. You book online with a $10 deposit and settle the balance plus tax and marina fee at check-in.

What's the $150 damage deposit?

A refundable hold placed on a card at check-in for each ski — cards only, no cash holds. Return the ski the way you took it out and the hold releases the same evening; banks typically post it back within 1–2 business days.

What forms of payment work at the dock?

Physical card with matching ID for balances; Zelle, Cash App and cash are accepted for payments — the damage deposit itself must be on a card. No Amex.

What if weather cancels my session?

Lightning stops all riding, no exceptions. If weather takes your slot you can rebook, or take a marina credit that never expires. There are no cash refunds — and no lost money either.

What should I wear?

Whatever can get soaked: swimsuit or quick-dry clothes. Sunglasses need a strap, pockets should be empty, and life vests are provided and required.

Can I bring my phone or GoPro?

Only in a dry bag you trust. Most riders leave phones on shore and grab the media package at check-in instead — the crew shoots your ride so your electronics don't swim.

How late do skis go out?

Last skis launch one hour before sunset, every day, weather permitting. In winter that can mean a mid-afternoon last call — check the day's times before you plan your evening.

What's the difference between a session and a tour?

A session is open riding inside a zone. A tour is your own ski following a guide point-to-point — Stiltsville's stilt houses, the celebrity islands, the skyline photo stop — with the same full-throttle riding between stops.

Do tour riders need the boater card too?

Same rules as sessions: drivers 18+ (or 16–17 with a guardian aboard), and anyone born after Jan 1, 1988 needs the boater card. The 20-minute temporary certificate covers it.
